Verify your identity with Norton Symantec
We’ve partnered with Norton Symantec, a credentialed service provider, to meet specific DEA requirements for verifying your identity and e-signing prescriptions for controlled substances.
Set up e-signing of prescriptions for controlled substances
Have your practice administrator grant you permission to e-sign and download Norton Symantec’s VIP smartphone application. You’ll need this application to sign each prescription of a controlled substance.
Step 3: Start e-prescribing all medications, including controlled substances.
You’re now able to e-prescribe all medications, including controlled substances.
Don’t forget, you’ll need the following to activate EPCS
You’ll need to e-sign each prescription of a controlled substance using an app on your smartphone.
A valid DEA number
A valid DEA registration number provides authorization for a health care provider to write prescriptions for controlled substances.
