Practice Fusion’s EHR updates are released over a two week period — see what’s coming next for your practice.
Streamline MIPS participation by reporting data through the Practice Fusion QCDR
The Practice Fusion Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) allows you to begin testing data submissions to the CMS MIPS Submission API directly from your MIPS Dashboard, which includes the ability to view an estimated MIPS final score based on the data available in your MIPS reporting watch list. Providers who are interested in participating in the Practice Fusion QCDR for MIPS data submission to CMS should indicate this interest in the MIPS Preferences section of their MIPS Dashboard. Identify and address patients who may be in need of osteoporosis screening
The Practice Fusion EHR has added an Osteoporosis Screening clinical decision support (CDS) notification to help identify patients who may be in need of a DXA screening for osteoporosis. This CDS notification will display during patient visits at the top of the encounter if the patient falls into the relevant demographic requirements. Learn more about CDS alerts and how to use them »
Update: Receive and save attached files and links from patients
Also added in this release, patients can now send messages from their Patient Fusion accounts to your Practice Fusion account with attached files and hyperlinks. These attachments can be saved to your Documents section and the patient chart for reference at any point. Learn more about patient messaging »
Patient education updates
As part of seeking 2015 Edition EHR Certification, Practice Fusion has streamlined the ability to electronically identify patient-specific education resources. A single Patient education materials link will now appear when adding medications, diagnoses, and lab results instead of the two separate links previously supported. Practice administrators may opt to configure the Infobutton content source for patient education materials to help your practice access the most relevant information for your patients.
