Updates to the Healthcare Provider User Agreement and Privacy Policy
Dear Practice Fusion User,
Practice Fusion has made editorial changes to the Healthcare Provider User Agreement and our Privacy Policy to clarify or simplify some of the language appearing in these documents.
The changes we made to the Healthcare Provider User Agreement include:
- Removing provisions applicable to our discontinued after-hours call service, Ringadoc, including the entirety of Section 4.7.
- Revising Sections 4.1.12, 4.5, 4.6 and 6 to further clarify how we administer patient support programs, our provider directory, care coordination and clinical data transmission services and the information that may be transmitted or shared in connection with those services.
- Revising Section 9 to clarify that our business associate obligations are intended to be interpreted in accordance with the requirements of HIPAA, and not any law or regulation that could be viewed as implying obligations separate from what is explicitly provided for by HIPAA.
We made additional editorial changes throughout the agreement intended to clarify other provisions, so we encourage you to review the Healthcare Provider User Agreement in its entirety.
In addition, we made extensive editorial revisions to our Privacy Policy with the aim of shortening the document, simplifying the language and harmonizing the topics covered by the Privacy Policy with those that are also covered by the Healthcare Provider User Agreement.
The revisions to the Privacy Policy are too extensive to summarize, so we encourage you to review the Privacy Policy, including the sections entitled "Information Collected by Our Services," "How We Use Information," "How our Services Allow Users to Share Information," and "Sharing of Information."
By clicking "I Agree" or otherwise logging into or utilizing our Services, you agree to and accept the updated terms of both the Healthcare Provider User Agreement and our Privacy Policy.
