Key facts about John Hluboky:
As Chief Architect and Director of Research at The Associated Press, Malek oversaw the IT architecture of the world’s oldest and largest news network. AP news is seen by more than half the world’s population each day, translating to billions of transactions every month. Malek ensured the reliability and scalability of the AP’s IT architecture while working to expand its digital presence. At Practice Fusion, Malek will be guiding the company’s continued growth while finding new opportunities for innovation in areas like mobile technology and device connectivity.
“I’ve seen some major changes in my years in IT. But the potential of Practice Fusion can’t be overestimated,” said Malek. “From our ability to draw real-time medical conclusions from clinical information across the country to the power of portability offered by our upcoming iPad application, the possibilities are endless.”
Hluboky comes to Practice Fusion from McAfee, the world’s largest dedicated security company. As the Senior Director of IT Customer Operations, Hluboky ensured the performance and availability of McAfee’s critical sites and services. This included the management of new product releases and expanding capacity in IT infrastructure, as well as overseeing global SaaS database operations support. He also led the company’s IT infrastructure through major changes of direction, including virtualization of McAfee’s global web services and an upgrade of their $1 billion a year ecommerce platform. Hluboky will guide datacenter and infrastructure support at Practice Fusion, where upgrades are released directly on the private-cloud-based platform and millions of patients are added each month.
“The momentum at Practice Fusion is energizing,” said Hluboky. “We are going to be seeing remarkable changes over the next year, and I expect health IT as we know it is going to be a very different place as a result.”
