Practice Fusion was certified as a Complete Meaningful Use EHR by Drummond Group Inc., on June 2, 2011. Our ONC-ATCB compliance means our EHR follows all the Stage 1 Meaningful Use standards set out by the ONC, so providers can use our free system to earn federal incentives. Stage 2 Meaningful Use Guidelines
Starting in 2014, providers in their 3rd or 4th year of Meaningful Use will need to follow upcoming Stage 2 guidelines. Practice Fusion guarantees that all Stage 2 updates to the product will also be completely free and automatic, so you won’t have to worry about upgrade fees or product upgrade downtime—unlike other, paid EHRs.
EHR Certification Criteria
The certification criteria for Meaningful Use EHRs is determined by certifying bodies—Authorized Testing and Certification Bodies (ATCBs)—designated by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). These certification standards determine whether an EHR is eligible for Meaningful Use:
Practice Fusion's free EHR is ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified as a Complete EHR by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments. Practice Fusion version 2.0 was Stage 1 certified on June 2, 2011. The ONC certification ID number is 06022011-9528-6.
