IT Support
Responsibilities
- Provide all areas of desktop support including setting up new hires, procuring equipment, activating Ethernet ports and migrating laptops. (We have a team of 80 and hire 10-15 people each month!)
- Deploy and monitor Windows security and application patches.
- Track software licenses and computer warranties.
- Update Windows images (WIM) for evolving hardware and software.
- Facilitate major rollouts of new hardware or software.
- Monitor virus protection reports and proactively clean infected computers.
- Assign extensions and set up VOIP phones.
- Assist in developing a helpdesk ticketing system to track user requests.
- Maintain existing printer/fax solutions.
- Active Directory management including resetting passwords and creating new accounts.
- Research and document solutions to common issues and publish them in a FAQ.
- Provide a short orientation for new hires on the unique computing environment at Practice Fusion.
- Help in designing Audio/Video solutions for conference rooms.
- Other tech support responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional, can-do attitude.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP troubleshooting, Windows 7, XP, Office and Sharepoint. Mac skills are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- 1-2 years of previous desktop or technical support experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Symantec Endpoint protection.
- Experience with WSUS, Bigfix, Patchlink, Landesk or similar patching management solutions.
