Practice Fusion's Board of Directors

Wally Buch, MD

Dr. Buch has been an angel investor in many successful startup companies, including Neoforma (NEOF). He received his MD from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his internship and residency in General and Cardiovascular Surgery at Stanford University Hospital. He had a successful private practice in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at both Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto and Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City for more than 25 years. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Currently Wally is a Venture Partner at MedVentures, and a Director of three early stage companies.

Rebecca Lynn

Rebecca joined Morgenthaler’s Menlo Park office in 2007, and she focuses on early-stage investments in mobile, health 2.0, Internet services and financial services. She serves on the board of Lending Club, and she is a second on the boards of OpinMind and Autonet.

Rebecca began her career at Procter and Gamble’s corporate headquarters where she worked in international new product market entry. She spent time in both Cincinnati and Mexico City developing new products for the market and launching a new category in Latin America. She then joined NextCard as an early employee and spent four years at the company. At NextCard, she led product development efforts and later served as the Vice President of Marketing where she managed one of the top five largest online marketing efforts. NextCard was the first online credit card company, and it went public in 2000 with a $1.3B market cap. After NextCard, she ran her own consulting business focusing on online marketing for financial services and affiliate marketing.

Rebecca passed the California State Bar and has a focus on intellectual property litigation and corporate law. Rebecca is an inventor on several issued patents, and she was published in the Berkeley Law and Technology Journal.

Education: JD/MBA degree from the Haas School of Business and U.C. Berkeley School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley. B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri in 1996.

Ryan Howard

Mr. Howard is Practice Fusion’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. With an extensive product management, engineering and marketing background, Mr. Howard’s technology approach to Electronic Health Records and practice management drives Practice Fusion’s rapid business growth. Previously a Senior Director of Product Management and Professional Services for Grand Central Communications, Saqqara Systems and InterTrade Systems, Mr. Howard has brought over a dozen SaaS-based products to market. He also worked with Brown and Toland Medical Group San Francisco, performing extensive HIPAA implementations, and is a Board Member of the Haight Ashbury Clinics.
