Our Academic License and regular Commercial License are the same with the exception of access to the Support Team, the ability to print, transmit and receive prescriptions, laboratory orders and results.
When do Academic Licenses expire?
Academic Licenses never expire. You can continue to use the product after graduation, if you choose to.
What happens when the next version of Practice Fusion is released?
As with all Practice Fusion users, upgrades are seamless and free.
Can I upgrade from an Academic License to a full commercial license later on?
Yes, once you have a NPI, UPIN or license number, you can contact Practice Fusion’s support and have your account fully enabled. All of your account data, including profile, patients and charts will be available to your upgraded user account.
Are Practice Fusion Academic License holders eligible for free technical support?
Practice Fusion’s complete set of training materials are available at the Learning Center and we offer train-the-trainer and certificate services for larger academic groups. Our Support Team is not available to students using free academic EHR account, as those resources must focus on the physician community using Practice Fusion to treat patients.
