Form a Practice Fusion User Group...

Hi All,
I have helped my wife to start up her Cardiology Practice from ground zero. We are using PF and Kareo. I like both systems and want them to even become better. One thing I see missing is a consolidated effort by the users to request PF to add a feature. I see features are requested by users and some time PF comments that it is a good suggestion and they will add to the backlog of requests. Many times I notice that PF design team do not have the experience of working at a doctor's office to decide on the prioritization of a request. I would request that we make a user committee and representative from that committee meet with PF development vice president on a regular basis and convey the necessaties of the users. We also need to revamp how request features are handled. We need a tabular form of request log that would not duplicate requests. Once a request is logged, the users can vote on it to show how important it is for them. This will be much easier caompare to going through tons of requests and their comments.
I would volunteer to become the rep to get this started. My goal is to create the best user experience for PF users. One of my experties is to identify "Minimum Effort but Maximum Impact" features. I would like to get feedback on this idea.

Practice Fusion expert answer:

Thank you for the feedback and suggestions! We are currently working on several enhancements to the Request A Feature section of PF Answers which are very similar to what you have suggested. An upcoming release of PF Answers will provide users with the ability to “vote” for their favorite feature requests. We are also making organizational enhancements to the Request A Feature section to eliminate duplicate requests. These improvements should make it easier for users to consolidate their feature requests, as well as make it easier for our product team to gauge the popularity and demand of each feature request.

Regarding the prioritization of features and requests, there are many considerations for implementing a single request. Our Chief Medical Officer uses Practice Fusion in his clinical visits on a daily basis and continuously provides feedback. He reviews features before and after each release; while not every suggestion and enhancement can be initiated, we do take clinical use and applicable functionality into consideration. While we can't always provide a status update on an individual request, we always review user-generated feedback each time we plan an update to the EHR.

Thanks for your suggestion, and we welcome other users' input.

I concur with 'Cardiology' to form a PF User Group. In fact, I think we have local chapters (East Coast, West Coast - further divided into smaller groups); it would greatly help those who are fully committed to PF/Kareo. Have you received any feedback outside of this forum in support of this idea?
