The incredibly rapid growth of the Health IT sector is going to break me. Companies are sprouting up everywhere with new ways to optimize healthcare, lab companies are eager to provide their clients with electronic results and new ideas are forming in conferences across the country.
And it seems like they all want to work with Practice Fusion’s EMR.
What that means for me as Practice Fusion’s Trainer and Product Evangelist is that I won’t be seeing my bed at all in February. But I will be meeting lots of healthcare innovators and both current and potential Practice Fusion partners.
It starts tomorrow with a 5:30 am web meeting with a national lab. They’re located on the East Coast whereas I’m in San Francisco, which is why it will be one of those venti coffee kind of mornings. We’re looking into how medical providers can more easily receive lab results in their Practice Fusion EMR account.
On Wednesday I’m flying to Nashville to speak to another lab company for their National Sales Meeting. I’ll be preparing them to help their clients use Practice Fusion’s Electronic Health Record system along with the electronic lab results our partnership will be providing. I’d like to say I’ll have time for some BMI-boosting BBQ, but I’m flying back to San Francisco on Thursday.
The next week I’m hosting a few web meetings for companies interested in partnerships, similar to the one we have with Dell Computers. Then I’m flying to New York to meet with a regional lab before their integration goes live.
Even while writing this I was approached by one of my colleagues to schedule a demonstration for new investors, but unfortunately I’ll be on a plane when they’re here.
On Friday the 18th I’m hosting a web meeting for our Certified Consultant Network to arm them with more information about the state of the EMR industry so that they can help eligible medical providers earn their EMR incentive.
On Saturday the 19th I’m flying to Orlando for HIMSS ’11 where I’ll be joined by other members of our Marketing team, Business Development team and our Chief Medical Officer and fellow EHR Blogger, Dr. Rowley. If you’ll be there, come meet us at booth #263. I’ll be hosting a Solution Session there Wednesday the 23rd at 3:15 pm.
You can see that Practice Fusion is on the move. New relationships with healthcare companies are beginning every day. And as much as I enjoy sleeping in my own bed, hotels are nice too. So if you have an event you’d like Practice Fusion to attend, let us know.
