Practice Fusion and I both reached major milestones last week. For the whole team, it was our first user conference—a huge success. For me, it was the one-year anniversary of joining the team.
Practice Fusion Connect 2010 was amazing. Rarely do you see attendees so engaged. Then again, rarely do you find an Electronic Health Record system like Practice Fusion. Or for that matter, a conference with pop music, a photo booth, video booth and raffles.
I had the great honor of being Master of Ceremonies. Running on stage with a mic in hand was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. With a packed agenda, I got to introduce members of our executive team and special guests like John Lynn from EMRandHIPAA.com to speak about Meaningful Use, maximizing billing and enhancing practice management.
Seeing hundreds of our users—and potential users—in the audience was seeing our combined efforts in person, literally. And it is such a thrill to see their enthusiasm match ours. Twitter was blowing up with the tag #pfconnect!
I started at Practice Fusion a year ago as one of the first Account Managers and moved to the role of Trainer, Product Evangelist. In that year, I’ve seen the company reach levels that I couldn’t have imagined when I joined the small group we had in November 2009.
I’ve seen our company more than triple in size, our user community more than double and more amazing features developed than I could list. People used to ask me if we’d stay in business. Now they’re asking me what will happen when we go public.
A year ago, I talked to doctors about a company that many people hadn’t heard of. Last Friday, I had the pleasure of speaking on stage about the premier EHR on the market.
If you were at Practice Fusion Connect 2010, tell us your story! And if you weren’t able to make it, what would you have asked if you were there?
Get ready for Practice Fusion Connect 2011!
