Practice Fusion's Board of Directors

The members of Practice Fusion’s board of directors bring diverse healthcare and technology experience to the company and come from a wide array of backgrounds and organizations, including Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, OrbiMed, Artis, Symphony Health and Zendesk.

Tom Langan
Tom is the President and CEO of Practice Fusion. Prior to joining Practice Fusion, Tom served as Symphony Health Solutions’ chief commercial officer, with management responsibility for monetizing integrated data assets, predictive analytics, cloud-based apps, and software solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. He also previously served as the chief commercial officer of MediMedia, where he led the pharmaceutical group strategic growth plan, strategic positioning, and new product development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Fordham University.

Beth Seidenberg, MD
Dr. Beth Seidenberg is a general partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. She is focused on life science investing and works with entrepreneurs to develop companies with breakthrough technology for treating patients and improving health. Since joining KPCB in 2005, Beth has incubated five companies and was the founding CEO of two companies. Before joining KPCB, Beth was senior vice president of development and chief medical officer of Amgen, Inc. Earlier in her career, she was a senior executive in research and development at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Merck & Co., Inc. She received a B.S. degree from Barnard College and holds an M.D. from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Beth completed her post-graduate training at Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University, and the National Institutes of Health.

Stuart Peterson
Stuart Peterson is the Co-Founder and Senior Partner of ARTIS Ventures (AV). Stuart currently serves on the boards of IDbyDNA, Versa Networks, ZenRez, Juicero and ChefsFeed. He is also a board advisor for Omicia, Bracket Computing and Cohesity. Stuart previously served on the board of StemCentrx, a biopharma start-up company focused on targeted cancer therapies, which was acquired by AbbVie Inc. in 2016. He also currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) and is actively involved in the Tipping Point Community and the Human Needs Project. Stuart received his B.A. in Economics from UCLA and holds an M.B.A. in Analytic Finance from The University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business.

Steven Yecies
Steven Yecies is a Venture Partner with OrbiMed Advisors. Steven has over 20 years of experience as a consultant, entrepreneur, investor, and senior manager in the healthcare IT and healthcare services sectors. Steven is also on the boards of TigerText and Sikka Software and is a board observer at Augmedix. He previously founded and operated the global health and wellness business at Scient (NASDAQ: SCNT). He received an A.B. in Government from Dartmouth College and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from The U.C. Berkeley School of Law.

Alan Black
Alan Black brings important financial and industry experience and expertise to Practice Fusion in his roles as a board member and as Audit Committee Chairperson. He most recently served as the chief financial officer of Zendesk and previously served as the chief executive officer of Intelliden Inc., a software company that was acquired by IBM in January 2010. Alan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in public accountancy from McGill University. He is also a fellow at McGill’s Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies.
