EHR Update: Meaningful Use in 2014 and Beyond

Over the past two years, Practice Fusion has helped medical practices earn a collective $150 million in Meaningful Use incentives. As we head toward Meaningful Use Stage 2, we’re continuing our commitment to your practice by guaranteeing we will be certified for 2014 (see terms). You will be able to begin 2014 reporting periods on January 1, 2014.

As the No. 1 EHR vendor for Meaningful Use for the second year in a row, according to Black Book Rankings, we are committed to your Meaningful Use success. Now that we’ve passed the October 3 deadline to begin your reporting period, we’re looking forward to 2014 with the resources you need to meet Meaningful Use this year and beyond:

  • Our customer success team is ready to provide you Stage 2 training for 2014
  • Our online resources will guide you through the process and prepare you for 2014
  • Our Meaningful Use Dashboard will be updated for 2014 Stage 1 and Stage 2

Because we are web-based, Meaningful Use features will be rolling out to your practice as they are completed. Many of these exist in the product today, including e-prescribing, labs and imaging and patient access (PHR). The Meaningful Use seal pictured above will accompany new features that are part of next year’s requirements.

The best step to prepare for 2014 today is to familiarize yourself with the new requirements and stay tuned for more updates. As always, we welcome your feedback in our community forum, and look forward to hearing your success stories.
